We Need To Open Our Hearts

• Close your eyes, focus on the breath at the tip of your nose. Watch the air as it flows out and back in.
• Think about why you're sitting here tonight, why you came out to some empty desert to sit with a bunch of other people with your eyes closed in a room together. What are you trying to accomplish?
• You're in a world of pain. Everybody around you is in a world of pain, and you've got to get out.
• My suffering, everyone else's suffering are just a projection of my mind. But still it hurts. When something happens that we don't want, when something doesn't happen that we desperately want, it hurts.
• How to change it? We have to become a different kind of being. We have to see emptiness directly in this life. And to do that we need to open our heart.
• There are blocks inside of us that are preventing us from getting to our goal. You can feel them in your heart—walls that you put up between yourself and others. You can see them.
• Why do we put these walls up? Habit? Because we are afraid? They are killing our chances, these walls.
• You'd be a very different kind of being.
• So now call your lama in front of you. Ask them to bless you, to open your heart, to get rid of these walls that are so limiting, that are trapping us inside a self that doesn't even exist. Ask for their blessing.
• See them granting this blessing to you.
• The walls melting, your heart opening, maybe first and foremost to your holy lama.
• Then your holy perfect lama comes and dissolves into you.
• Then bring to mind someone you know who is in some kind of pain. Sit them right in front of you. Open your heart to them. Feel their pain with them.
• Is there a block there? Break it down.
• This pain is yours anyway. Open your heart so wide that when you think of their pain, tears start to come to your eyes.
• They need you.
• Then know in your heart that this person is a holy enlightened being come to help you open your heart. That's their one and only goal. Bow to them and thank them for coming to you.
• Then they can go back to their enlightened realm and you can open your eyes.
