Limitless Meditation
audio coming soon. please check back.
- Get into a comfortable position, and let the body fall still.
- Take a couple moments to simply watch your breath, as it passes out and then back into your body.
- Now focus your mind on the people who live and work around you, the people you see every day.
- Think about how every day, each one of them is struggling to find happiness and avoid pain, just like you. We all want to be happy.
- Then observe how none of them is really finding this happiness; observe how much pain there is for them in this life.
- Let your heart open to them, and think to yourself: “I wish they could all find happiness. I wish they had no more pain.”
- Now go one step further. Remember how they are all a projection, and how because of that fact, you have ultimate power to change them. Then take personal responsibility, by cultivating the following Limitless Thoughts:
- Think to yourself: “I will make sure everyone has every happiness they could ever wish for.”
- Think to yourself: “I will take away all their pain.”
- Think to yourself: “I will bring them to the highest happiness of enlightenment itself.”
- You are ready for the final Limitless Thought. Think to yourself: “And I will do this for every single being, leaving no one out.”
- Now broaden the scope of your focus so that it encompasses the entire world, and think: “Everyone is the same. They all want to be happy. I must help them.”
- It’s a very simple meditation, with very profound effects.
- What kinds of seeds are planted when we think limitless thoughts? We’d definitely be on an upward spiral. Not only are they seeds that perpetuate themselves, but these simple acts plant seeds that become the cause for your own enlightenment. Why? Because thinking that you want to help others get there is the exact powerful seed we need to plant to see ourselves get there. It is the same old karmic story.
- These kinds of thoughts are a karmic inferno that spreads out to the ends of the universe, like wildfire. Because now, every time you do something, you’re doing it for your whole self—not just for that one tiny part you normally think of as you. So your whole self benefits.
- You could even go so far as to say that you don’t ever plant a pure karmic seed until you are planting this kind of limitless seed. For it is this kind of upward spiral that makes it possible to change our world from something ordinary to a perfect paradise.
